Stations of the Cross.
Jesus is Nailed to the Cross. Station 11.
This Station represents the place where Jesus Christ is stretched on the Cross, and nailed to it. How insufferable the torture - the nerves and sinews are rent by the nails. Also they crucified two thieves in the same way and set up their crosses on either side of that of Christ. Above Jesus' head soldiers placed a plaque bearing in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin, Pilate's inscription of the charge against Him: βJesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.β
